after the additional charge for delivery of $3.00, guess how much was the sales tax? answer: $2.01. I called several Pizza Hut store to see who delivered the order to our house and finally located the branch along Live Oak Ave in Arcadia, CA. I spoke to a lady who said she was the store manager; when I inquired how they compute the sales tax on $19.99, she let me talked to a gentleman, who said he is also the store manager (wow so many store managers in this branch); still he cannot tell me if the $2.01 sales tax is correct. First he said the sales tax in California, LA county is 9% then 10%. I told him that $2.01 is not 10% of $19.99 and he retorted back and said is rounding off. Funny, let me ask the California Board of Equalization. I took the internet and emailed Pizza Hut on my complaint.... I know it has been only less than 72 hours, but I have not heard a murmur from them. What a class act. I am still waiting. Come to think of it, $19.99 + $3.00 + $2.01 (sales tax) = $25.00. Are they making it easy so I will not get change from my $25.00?... Read More »
